Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

HushHiring is operated by SelectWise Consulting Limited, a company registered in England & Wales, based in Reading, UK. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. Questions or requests: desk@hushhiring.com.

2. What we collect

• Your work email address — to send passwordless sign-in links, your daily signal digest, and account communications.
• Desk preferences — the cities and sectors you choose, and your digest setting, so we can tailor your feed.
• Your pipeline — the leads you track, the stage each is at, next steps and their dates, placements you log and the notes you write, with a copy of the signal so a lead stays visible after it leaves the feed. Notes are free text only you see; please don't record more about other people than your work needs.
• Contacts you add to a lead — if you record the person you're talking to at a company (name, role, work email, profile link), you decide what goes in and we hold it on your behalf: it is shown only on your desk, used for nothing else, and deleted with your account or when you remove it. Only add details you're allowed to use for business contact.
• Your team — if you add colleagues to your desk, we store their work email and when they joined. Everyone on the desk sees the shared pipeline, and its history records who made each change.
• Integrations you connect — if you add a webhook, each change to your pipeline (including its notes, next steps and contacts) is sent to the address you give, for example a Zapier account or your CRM. That service is chosen and run by you, under its own terms.
• Billing data — handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details; we store only your subscription status and Stripe identifiers.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs (IP, timestamps) for security and reliability.

The hiring-signal data shown on your desk is drawn from public and licensed business sources about companies — it is not personal data about you.

3. Why we use it (legal basis)

• To provide the service (sign-in, your desk, the digest) — performance of our contract with you.
• To take payment — performance of contract, via Stripe.
• To keep the service secure and working — our legitimate interests.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies — a sign-in session cookie and an anti-forgery cookie — which the service needs to function and stay secure.

With your consent only, we also use analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which help us understand how the site is used. Nothing loads until you click Accept on the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors who act only on our instructions: Stripe (payments), Proton (sending our email), GoHighLevel (our contact records and fallback email delivery), Railway (hosting) and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google (Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity). We never sell your data or share it for marketing.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account or trial is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and security obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

7. International transfers

Some processors (e.g. Stripe) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To exercise any of these, email desk@hushhiring.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
